Founded by Leon Paul himself in 1931, Salle Paul is a fencing club renowned for the provision of high-quality coaching and sparring for almost a century. We have a long history of producing outstanding athletes and have been home to 11 Olympians, as well as countless National Champions and Team Members. Today, we maintain this dedication to excellence through our committed coaches, passionate athletes and vibrant community all under one cutting-edge facility built after the London 2012 Olympics.

 

OUR STORY

SPARTANS ACADEMY

Developed with former Great British Champion and 6x Commonwealth medallist Keith Cook, the Salle Paul Spartans Academy is a structured programme for children from 5 years of age to learn the exciting sport of fencing in a fun and safe environment. The Academy uses a system of regular gradings where fencers keep a record of their progress in a log book alongside certificates and badges.

OUR VENUE

The Leon Paul Fencing Centre is a 1300 square metre facility. Inspired and built after the London 2012 as a competition and training venue for the British Olympic Team on their road to Rio. It features state-of-the-art LED floor lighting, integrated scoring systems and bag storage. With a total of 24 pistes always ready to use, you can see why the nation’s best fencers train at UK’s most prestigious fencing centre.
